Title
16. Motion to Renew Annual Contract with AT&T for Data Circuit Leased Lines for Connectivity to Locations not Serviced by the City's Fiber Network (Event No. 5027)
Strategic Priority
Infrastructure
Description

Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for data circuit leased lines with AT&T in the estimated amount of $64,468.20.  The Department of Information Technology uses these leased data circuits to provide connectivity to locations not able to be serviced by the City’s fiber network.  This contract also provides data connectivity to designated locations, and allows the City flexibility to add locations or change services as needed during the contract period.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to cost.  Proposals were evaluated on the basis of qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, flexible service changes/upgrades, account maintenance and monitoring, local vendor participation, and fees.  No MWBE goal was established at the time this RFP was issued.

Proposals were initially received on April 4, 2017.  Council originally approved this contract on April 27, 2017 in the amount of $54,250.08.  Due to the City adding new service locations, the amount of the contract has increased.  This is the first of four renewal options.

The contract term shall be from January 9, 2019 through January 8, 2020 due to AT&T's automatically renewing contract.
