Recommend approval to procure an annual maintenance agreement from Siemens in the amount of $42,192.00. The agreement will be used by the Water Resources Department to maintain the variable frequency drives used to control pumps for raw water pumping and finished water distribution. This is a sole source because Siemens is the manufacturer of the drives that are in place at the plant and is the only company that has factory-trained, equipment-specific technicians. Because of the age and rarity of the equipment in place, a special technician is required to maintain the equipment.

The term of the agreement will be from February 14, 2018 through February 13, 2019.
