26. Motion to Approve Contract Modification No. 1 for Bryan Street Elevator Modernization to Johnson-Laux (Event No. 5369)

Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for the Bryan Street elevator modernization project to Johnson-Laux in the reduced amount of $10,554.83. 

The original contract was for the modernization of the elevator system to prevent long service outages.  During construction, it was determined that the oil water separator could be reduced significantly in size. This contract modification is needed to credit the City for the parts and labor associated with the installation of the smaller oil water separator.

This contract was originally approved by Council on December 21, 2017 in the amount of $397,188.06.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $386,633.23.
