| Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Modification No. 1 with Savannah Construction and Preservation for the Caretaker’s Cottage in the amount of $93,544.62. The original contract was for the complete renovation of the historic cottage on the Savannah Police Department Central Precinct’s site. The contract modification is needed for various cost increases due to unforeseen construction conditions. The changes include the additional framing and siding repairs, additional structural repairs, and additional work and materials required for fire protection. These items could not have been predetermined until partial demolition was complete and the historic structure was further evaluated. This contract was originally approved by Council on March 28, 2019 in the amount of $464,596. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $558,140.62. | |
