This is for contracts for landfill cover material With SABE, The McGraley Company and ED Trucking, LLC in an amount not to exceed $1,350,000.

Contract will be used by the City of Savannah’s Solid Waste Department to provide cover material for usage at the Dean Forest Road Landfill. This cover acts as a seal to compact waste and prevent rodents, animals from getting into the landfill.
As a permitted facility, daily cover is required in accordance with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) rules for compliance.
 

The City issued a competitive solicitation for Landfill Cover Material. In accordance with the solicitation requirements, bids were evaluated on a line-item basis, and each line item will be awarded to the lowest bidder. This approach allows the City to obtain the lowest competitive price for each item and provides the best overall value to the City.

Multiple vendors will be awarded contracts as a result of the line-item evaluation.
