Title
10. Motion to Amend Zoning Ordinance to Provide a Zoning Designation For 0.74 Acres At 4323 Ogeechee Road to be Annexed into the City Of Savannah (Douglas Morgan, Petitioner)
Strategic Priority
Economic Strength And Poverty Reduction
Description

The City of Savannah received an annexation petition for a parcel with an aggregate of approximately 0.74 acres located at 4323 Ogeechee Road (Highway 17) near Chatham Parkway. Pursuant to the parcel's current zoning by Chatham County, the parcel's zoning after annexation will be designated “P-B-CO” on the zoning map of the City of Savannah.

The parcel is owned by CCG/NLG Ogeechee, LLC. The land under petition is contiguous to existing City territory and therefore can be annexed by ordinance adopted by City Council. As required by State law, Chatham County has been informed of receipt of this petition.

Annexation is being sought by the owner to gain access to the municipal utilities provided by the City. The owner desires to gain access to these services on in-city terms. The cost of providing water and sewer service to the parcel will be fully covered by connection fees and service fees levied by the City for providing service. The property is currently being utilized as a Sherwin Williams retail paint store and this use is planned to continue.
