Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Modification No. 1 with Johnson-Laux for Streetscape Improvements on Cedar Street in the amount of $24,970.67. The original contract was for installation of sidewalk, curbs, gutters, mill and overlay of pavement, and miscellaneous improvements. The work is part of the larger Savannah Shines initiative that is transforming the Edgemere/Sackville neighborhood. The additional work will include an additional 98 feet of pavement to change the street grade. This will eliminate a hump in the street and will prevent ponding of water on the street. This contract was originally approved by Council on April 11, 2019 in the amount of $727,528.57. The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $752,499.24. | |
