Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Modification No. 1 with Kapsch TrafficCom North America for DeRenne Stormwater Pump Station Controls Upgrade in the amount of $44,983. The original contract was to replace and upgrade the master computer controllers, which control how much water the station pumps. This contract modification includes new components for monitoring the DeRenne Pump Station electronic controls. The addition of an Allen-Bradley controller will provide a reliably supportable programmable logic controller that will be a standardized component in future pump station upgrades. The addition of a computer server and the Win911 program and license will provide the ability to remotely monitor additional stormwater pump stations in the future and send automated trouble alarms to staff smart phones. The computer server and Win911 will be a one-time expenditure. This contract was originally approved buy Council on January 3, 2019 in the amount of $462,834. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $507,817. | |
