Description Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 2 for Hitch Village Phase 2 with McLendon Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $12,454.24. The original contract was for infrastructure work for the Hitch Village Phase 2 project. This modification is needed to include driveway access to Terminal Investment Corporation (TICO) on the southwest side of the project. The original engineer plan specified curbing for the referenced driveway; however, TICO requires access to its driveway, thus necessitating this contract modification. This project involves the construction of public infrastructure for the proposed Hitch Village Redevelopment, a 26.8-acre multi-family development. The City’s contract includes the construction of all public infrastructures within the proposed rights of way. The public infrastructure is being constructed concurrent with the private development infrastructure and building construction by the Housing Authority of Savannah. Council originally approved this contract on May 11, 2017 in the amount of $1,097,689.30. The amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $1,189,080.20. | |
