Description

The Mayor and Aldermen approved this request after a Zoning Hearing at the October 10, 2019 Regular City Council Meeting.  The action being considered today is the approval of an Ordinance for amending the future land use category of the subject properties.

Robert L. McCorkle, III for Classic Development Company LLC, Petitioner, (File No. 19-004403-CPA) in conjunction with a rezoning map amendment for properties located at 4504 Ogeechee Road (9.14 acres on PIN(s): 20873 01020), seeks to amend the Comprehensive Plan’s Future Land Use Map from its existing Commercial-Suburban Category to the General Residential Category. 

On September 17, 2019, the Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the request to rezone the subject property from R-6 to P-R-M-40.  Therefore, they are recommending approval of the change to the Comprehensive Plan’s Future Land Use Map from its existing Commercial-Suburban Category to the General Residential Category.
