On July 9, 2026, City Council approved the annexation and rezoning of the 0 Fort Argyle Road to Planned Development (PD).  At full buildout in 2038, the development is proposed to include up to 2,450 residential units and approximately 24,000 square feet of commercial space.

The proposed Development Agreement establishes responsibilities for infrastructure improvements and community benefits associated with the development to include the extension of New Hampstead Parkway to Fort Argyle Road. The agreement provides for City reimbursement of up to $3 million for roadway extension. The developer will also donate approximately 1.5 acres for future municipal use and contribute $500 per residential unit to the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund. 

A separate Water and Sewer Agreement addressing utility infrastructure improvements and associated responsibilities will be presented for consideration at a future City Council meeting.
