Title 13. Authorize the City Manager to Execute Contract Modification No. 1 for the Replacement of a Heat Exchanger with Huber Technologies, Inc in the Amount of $15,931. The additional amount will cover the additional labor cost that will be needed to complete the installation. (Water Reclamation)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description This contract modification is for the replacement of a heat exchanger with Huber Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $15,931. The existing radiator has failed due to grease and chemical degradation. The inlet radiator cools the hot air exiting the dryer, facilitating the release of moisture from the saturated air stream. Subsequently, the air stream passes through the radiator and condensing unit, resulting in cooler and drier air being returned to the dryer head for efficient drying purposes.
The original quote was provided by Huber, estimating completion of the service within two days. However, during the dismantling of the inlet radiator, unforeseen issues arose, necessitating an extension of the installation period by two days. Hence, additional funds are required. This was originally approved by the City Manager on July 21, 2024, in the amount of $44,769.99. The total amount of this contract, including this modification, is $60,698.
