Recommend approval to award a contract for water, sewer and stormwater line repair with Southern Champion Contruction in the amount of $4,353,500.

The repair services will be used by various Public Works departments for the repair of water, sewer, stormwater lines, manholes, catch basins and related structures. These services will also be used to augment City crews during heavy workloads and emergency situations.

The City’s Water Resources Department operates and maintains over 2,000 miles of water sewer and storm mains, and major operational structures. Many of these major operational structures are large industrial type facilities. This contracted service offers specialized equipment and resources to supplement City staff’s efforts in providing service to our customers.

The proposal was advertised, opened and reviewed. This contract has three (3) renewal options. Delivery: As needed.term: Net 30 days. The bidder was:
