Recommend approval of agreement with Coastal Heritage Society (CHS) to utilize $1,500,000 in SPLOST 6 funding for capital improvements at the Savannah Children’s Museum located at 655 Louisville Road in Tri-Centennial Park.

The Savannah Children’s Museum was approved as part of the City of Savannah’s SPLOST 6 Project List. Funds will be used for the construction of a concrete retaining wall, storage room, office space and restrooms, as well as for the preparation and installation of interior flooring and steel window sashes. CHS has a development plan to secure additional funds to support the Children's Museum Project estimated to be $18 million.

The SPLOST 6 agreement commences on January 1, 2018 and will expire on December 31, 2021.
