Description
Chief Vonnie McCormick, Principal Chief of the Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe, is the president of a non-profit organization called Peregrini International. For the last several years the focus has been to facilitate reconciliation initiatives between Native Americans and governments both national, state and local via authoring resolutions that address the wounded history and past conflicts between them. Last year, with the assistance of Speaker of the House, David Ralston and Rep. John Meadows, who was the Chairman of the Rules Committee, she facilitated the writing of House Resolution 1764 which passed and became Georgia's first Native American resolution of its kind.
