35. Motion to Procure Williamson Street Stairwell Repairs from Savannah Construction and Preservation (Event No. 6506)
Strategic Priority

Recommend approval to procure Williamson Street Stairwell repairs from Savannah Construction and Preservation in the amount of $124,256.70. The repairs will be used by the Capital Improvement Department to repair sections of the historic Factors Walk Wall located near 318 Williamson Street. 

The work will consist of repointing and replacement of brick and stone, repairing cracks along the side of the wall, temporary shoring, and re-establishing bricks under the bridge walkway.  This repair will also include a repair of a small section of wall near the Lincoln Street Ramp.

This event had an 18% DBE goal.  The recommended proposer submitted DBE participation at the subcontractor level in the amount of 18.39% using Economy Masonry (18.39%).
