This amendment provides an extension of time and additional work scope associated with the White Paper project originally approved by the Commission on September 4, 2024, for $144,800. Ben Lao & Associates has been conducting a comprehensive historical review of the airport’s development and organizational evolution in recognition of the Savannah Airport Commission’s 75th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the terminal complex. The proposed amendment will allow additional research and interviews to be completed, expanding the study to include records and information from 1959 to 1987 and from 2005 to 2024. It also adds a new component focusing on the “Twelve Strategic Pillars” that define the airport’s success, including organizational foundation, governance philosophy, long-term vision, business ethos, and crisis management effectiveness. The work will be completed on or before December 31, 2025, for a fee of $43,500 plus reimbursable expenses for travel and materials.
