Description Recommend approval of Contract Modification Number 1 for quality assurance services with Atlantic Coast Consulting(B) (7 E Congress St #801, Savannah, GA) for up to $232,863. The services are for professional engineering, sampling, and testing as required to document compliance with the Environmental Protection Division (EPD) for the Dean Forest Road Landfill expansion. This modification is expected to cover the additional costs associated with known time delays and additional work items. This includes rain days, lab trailer rental, soil tests, geocomposite conformance tests, technician hours, and extra project management/oversight. This request assumes that the project will be completed by March 22, 2022. The original project budget represented a 156 weeks construction period which is now at 162 weeks.
The original contract was approved by City Council on April 26, 2018 in the amount of $639,995 Contract modification Number 1 would raise the amount of the contract from $639,995 to $872,858. Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for up to $872,858. (B) Indicates local, non-DBE owned business. Recommend approval. | |
