Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal of an annual contract with Stephen J. Sampson, PhD for pre-employment psychological assessments of law enforcement candidates in the amount of $45,000. Dr. Sampson proposed a per-candidate fee of $300. The services are needed to screen Savannah Police Department applicants for psychological fitness for duty. The method used for this procurement was the request for proposal. Proposals were received and evaluated on the basis of qualifications, methodology, references, fees, and local vendor participation. Dr. Sampson performs the psychological testing at a City of Savannah site, which improves the efficiency of the administration. Proposals were originally received on July 28, 2015. This contract was approved by Council on October 29, 2015. This is the second of four renewal options available. The contract term shall be November 18, 2019 through December 31, 2020. | |
