Description

Petitioner, John Giordano, on behalf of property owner Savannah Harbor Partners, LLC, has petitioned to encroach on City-owned right-of-way (ROW) as part of a mixed-use commercial and residential development located at 55 Resort Drive (PIN 200436 01009) on Hutchinson Island. The four encroachments encumber 33.52 square feet of ROW and include building foundation walls for the proposed building.

Given the permanent nature of these encroachments, staff recommends conveyance of a permanent easement to the property owner. An appraisal was performed by a third-party, MAI-designated real estate appraiser who determined fair market value of the land rights to be $520.00. Savannah Harbor Partners, LLC has agreed to the purchase price, as well as any associated transaction fees.

Park & Tree, Water and Sewer Planning & Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Stormwater, Development Services, Planning & Urban Design, and Real Estate Services have reviewed and approved the request.

Further request authorization for the City Manager to execute easement and any associated closing documents.
