Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 with NetPlanner Systems, Inc. for the replacement of camera equipment in the amount of $80,358.83. The original contract was used by The Department of Information Technology to provide cameras, security access control and low voltage structured cabling at various City of Savannah facilities. This modification is needed for the replacement of the outdated cameras at the Robinson Street Garage. This new camera system will be installed on the City’s network and the recorded footage will be captured in Occularis, the City’s camera video management software. The system will also allow for remote viewing which will drastically improve surveillance and prove beneficial to the City in the event of a crime. This contract was originally approved by Council on February 13, 2020 in the amount of $250,000. The total amount of the contract to date, including this modification is $330,358.83.
