This contract is to procure services for the modernization of the elevators in the Savannah Police Department Headquarters building with TK Elevator Corporation for an amount not to exceed $886,034.61. The scope of the contract encompasses various updates and enhancements to the elevators, including the controller, motor, governor, car, hoist way, doors, car fixtures, and pit. The SPD Headquarters building requires the modernization of its two existing elevators to ensure improved functionality, efficiency, and safety. The work will involve refurbishing and replacing of the current mechanical equipment and electrical components of the elevators. The elevator modernization project will be carried out simultaneously with the ongoing SPD Headquarters Renovation project. The benefits of modernization of the elevators are:
