This procurement is for an annual contract for network maintenance services, equipment, and security with Layer 3 Communications in an amount not to exceed $1,075,000. This amount is based on budgeted project needs for 2023, as well as for network maintenance services, equipment, and security. The Innovation+Technology Services Department uses this contract for the maintenance of hardware and software designated for the Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, Veeam, Pulse, IGel, and Tegile equipment. These services are an integral part of the Data Center operations and all network locations, as well as the indoor wireless capabilities at designated City facilities. This contract ensures that the critical internal and public-facing services to City citizens have the reliable infrastructure to support these needs. This foundation also supports secure communications internally and externally. 

The annual spend includes the following known 2023 budgeted projects:

- City-wide network switch upgrade project (estimated cost: 75,000)

These purchases will be procured through a cooperative purchasing agreement with The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative. The contract was competitively bid by TIPS and awarded to Layer 3 Communications LLC, contract # 200105, which encompasses GA Statewide Contracts: Juniper Networks 99999-SPD-T20120501-0013 (September 30, 2024) - Layer 3 is an authorized reseller; HPE (Aruba Networks) 99999-SPD-T20120501-011A (September 30, 2024) – Layer 3 is an authorized reseller; Palo Alto Networks 99999-SPD-NVPUT3229-0001 or NASPO AR3229 (September 30, 2024) – Layer 3 is an authorized reseller. Per the Division 10 Section 4-4152 of the City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance, cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method. Delivery: As requested.
