Title Motion to Consider Text Amendment to the Mid-City District (Article K) to Create a New Use "Microbrewery" in Sec. 8-3216(2)(a) and Use Standards in Sec. 8-3219 (MPC Reference File No. 17-001851-ZA)
Description The petitioner, Joshua Yellin, as Agent for Two Tides Brewing Company, LLC, is proposing amendments to the Mid-City District (Article K) to create a new use “Microbrewery” as a special use in the TC-1 and TC-2 zoning districts (Sec. 8-3216(2)(a)) and to amend the Commercial Use Standards in Sec. 8-3219 to add use standards for "Microbrewery" under use number “(18).” Microbreweries are currently allowed in several commercial zoning districts. However, they are not listed permitted uses in TC-1 and TC-2. The purpose of the request is to allow a proposed microbrewery to locate on Bull Street within the Starland District. The Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of this request at its April 25, 2017 Regular Meeting.
