Description This Memorandum of Agreement with Chatham County would allow the Savannah Police Department to temporarily use and have access to certain assets that were jointly shared by the former Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department. The City will be able to continue to use several pieces of special operations equipment and have access to the Forensics and Records Unit, situated within a County-owned building. The County will be permitted to use the City’s Bearcat (armored SWAT vehicle) and have access to the Property and Evidence Units, situated within a City-owned building. The Chatham County Board of Commissioners approved this MOA on May 4, 2018. | |
