This contract is to procure a single vent containment vessel from Hurd’s Custom Machinery in an amount of $79,199. This vessel will allow EOD units to respond to hazardous materials and threats to the City of Savannah and surrounding areas. This is fully grant-funded by the GEMA Homeland Security Grant FY22. This is a sole source because GEMA HSGP FY22 has a deadline of August 2025 for expenditure of funds. This is the only vendor that can deliver the vehicle within the time frame. This acquisition will allow SPD to procure equipment that supports City of Savannah goals of reduction of violent crime, emergency response, and will keep members of the community and our officers. Delivery: As needed.
