| Description Notification of an emergency purchase for one excavator from Yancey Brothers in an amount not to exceed $124,814. The Fleet Services Department was able to locate a vendor that had one excavator available that was being sold on a first come first served basis. The new excavator will be assigned to the Street Maintenance Department and will be replacing unit #3227, which has been deemed unsafe to operate on public roads. The procurement of the excavator ensures the continuity of the department’s operations at the existing equipment level.
Per section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services using a Cooperative Contract. The contract used for this procurement is Caterpillar Inc. c/o Yancey Brothers Company contract# 032119-CAT for Heavy Construction Equipment with Related Accessories, Attachments, and Supplies. Delivery: Immediately. Terms: Net 30 days.
