Title 32. Motion to Renew Annual Contract for Bioxide with Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC (Event No. 3941)
Strategic Priority Infrastructure
Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for bioxide with Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC in the amount of $117,700.00. Bioxide (calcium nitrate) is used as an additive to sewage/sanitary sewer at sanitary sewer lift stations to remove hydrogen sulfide and help control odor. Hydrogen sulfide causes odors at different sites in the City of Savannah, along with corrosion of the sanitary sewer system assets, such as sewer mains, manholes and lift stations. Bioxide enhances naturally occurring biochemical processes to accomplish sulfide removal. The contract term will be from May 11, 2018 through May 10, 2019.
