Title 39. Motion to Procure Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection from Malwarebytes (Event No. 7007)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Withdraw - The Original Event # 5989 was Approved as a 5 year contract for $125,000 on April 26, 2018. Recommend approval to procure Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection from Layer 3 Communications in the amount of $25,000.00. The Department of Information Technology uses this software to prevent future malware attacks, and recover from past attacks the City has faced. This is a sole source contract because Layer 3 Communications was the only vendor that was able to supply and implement the necessary software when it was needed, by the City, during the malware attack of 2018 (Event # 5989). It is crucial to have maintenance and support from the original provider to ensure authorized, knowledgeable, and timely support. The contract term shall be from March 28, 2019 through December 31, 2019. This is the first of four renewal options.
