Description
The Savannah Airport Commission issued a Request for Proposal for the preventative maintenance agreement for our 16 elevators and 16 escalators for a period of 3 years with two 1-year options. As you are aware, the proper functioning of these critical pieces of infrastructure is essential for the safety and convenience of our building's occupants. Regular preventative maintenance will help ensure that our elevators and escalators remain in optimal condition, minimizing the risk of unexpected breakdowns and costly repairs. After careful consideration and evaluation, we have selected Elevated Facility Services as the preferred service provider for this agreement. The proposed maintenance schedule includes monthly inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and any necessary repairs that can be physically or visibly inspected. Additional repairs outside the scope of work will be submitted to the Airport for approval and charged at an hourly rate plus material cost. Additionally, Elevated Facility Services will provide 24/7 emergency response services to address any urgent issues that may arise, as well as have staff on site 40 hours per week to ensure equipment reliability. As part of this initial commencement of the agreement, upon signing, they requested a 30-day survey period to conduct a detailed survey of the equipment. SAC recommends approval for the 3-year initial term.
