| Description The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) issued Request for Quotation (RFQ) 2025-0011 for the procurement of one garbage truck to address the doubling of garbage volume over the past four years. The current process requires employees to handle garbage multiple times and manually transfer it into dumpsters. The introduction of a garbage truck will streamline this process by allowing direct transportation of garbage to the city dump several times a week. Additionally, this new approach includes a plan to eliminate two of the existing dumpsters used for garbage disposal, which will help offset the cost of the new truck. This addition to our fleet represents a strategic move to enhance operational efficiency at the airport. The RFQ closed on February 21, 2025, and we received two bids.
