This contract is for the procurement of two (2) X-Ray Systems from Logos Imaging, LLC in the amount of $86,281. The police department will utilize this equipment for their Bomb Unit. We have been awarded funds through the GEMA Homeland Security FY 24 grant to procure these systems, with no City match. Acquiring these systems are essential for our Bomb Unit to respond to terror events or threats. They allow us the evaluate the contents of suspicious packages and render hazardous devices safe. These systems allow for safer inspection of packages, and faster diagnostic capabilities. During significant community events, parades, and festivals this system will be utilized by SPD's Bomb Unit to quickly analyze and assess threats to minimize harm and keep the community safe.
