| Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for gate and tapping valves to Consolidated Pipe & Supply in the amount of $93,721.55 and to Core & Main (formally HD Supply Waterworks, Ltd.) in the amount of $30,802.00 for a total contract amount of $124,523.55. The gate and tapping valves are required throughout the existing water distribution system and are utilized by the Public Works and Water Resources Department to control flows of water and to allow for the repair and maintenance of the system and to replace valves as needed. The gate and tapping valves will allow connections for new development without having to interrupt service already being provided to the citizens and commercial customers. Bids were originally received on October 24, 2017. Council originally approved this contract on January 4, 2018. This is the first of two renewal options available. The contract term shall be from February 28, 2019 through December 31, 2019. | |
