Description This is for Contract Modification No. 2 for City-Wide HVAC maintenance and repairs to Boaen Mechanical in the amount not to exceed $500,000.
The Real Estate Services Department utilize this contract for preventative maintenance on approximately 1,000 HVAC units and minor repairs and replacements on City-owned HVAC units.
The request for increase is to replace the existing 400-ton screw compressor chiller rental unit at the Civic Center with a four (4)100-ton chiller rental unit to reduce noise and address neighbor complaints. The rental will be replaced with a permanent chiller as part of the upcoming demolition and renovation of the facility. The modification will also be used to replace the HVAC units at the Tompkins Community Center, W.W. Law Community and overall repairs in the City.
This contract term expires on July 13, 2025. The original contract was originally approved on July 14, 2022, in the amount of $524,250. Modification #1 was approved on December 19, 2024, for $475,000. The total amount of this annual contract including the modification is $1,500,000.
