Recommend approval to procure roof replacement services for the Paulsen Athletic Building from F.H. Paschen S. N. Nielsen & Associates LLC in the amount of $114,532. The building’s existing roof sustained damage during Hurricane Matthew. Under the oversight of the Office of Capital Projects Management, the contractor will remove the existing metal roof, replace the wood decking, and install a new metal roof on the building.

This project has been bid twice by the City prior to this recommendation. When the event was first bid, there was not sufficient funding to carry out the project. The second bidding opportunity did not receive any responses. Therefore, the state contract is being recommended for use to complete this project before the FEMA funding expires in April 2020. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract for construction (Contract # 99999-SPD-S20160216-004). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires July 20, 2020.
