Description

The Savannah Airport Commission has participated in a yearly co-op advertising campaign with Visit Savannah since 2008.  Each year, a strategy is developed to support new or expanded nonstop destinations, targeting potential customers via Visit Savannah’s vast array of digital advertising channels.  As the pandemic brought travel to a halt, the campaign became more important than ever to support awareness of the ease of traveling nonstop to Savannah from our core flight origination markets. While the results of the campaign didn’t garner our usual return on investment through airline booking values, we were able to reach over 74 million potential future travelers through digital impressions.  For the 2021 campaign, the program will be designed to promote Southwest Airlines' new service to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport starting March 11. In support of the 2021 digital advertising co-op campaign with Visit Savannah, we request $200,000.  This is a budgeted amount in the 2021 Marketing budget.
