Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for Traffic Sign Blanks with Vulcan Signs for up to $71,686.60. The Mobility Services Department uses aluminum sign blanks to fabricate and assemble traffic control signage. Traffic signs are critical to ensure pedestrian and vehicular safety within the City. This contract will mostly provide sign blanks of various sizes which can be used by City staff to create customized signage. However, the contract will also provide some standard pre-fabricated signs that are ready-for-use. Typical signage is used for cross walks, intersections, road closures, caution areas, etc. This inventory is maintainted at the City's Central Warehouse and is accessible to City departments, but mostly used by the Traffic Engineering Divsion. 2,635 signs were distributed to City departments in 2020. This contract was originally approved by Council on October 11, 2018. This is the last of two renewal options available under this contract.
