Description This is for the adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit a Substantial Amendment for the FY2019 One Year Action Plan to HUD for the use of CDBG-CV funds and to enter into grant agreements with eligible small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The City of Savannah received a supplemental allocation of $1,360,248 in CDBG-CV (Round 1) and $1,234,796 (Round 3) totaling $2,595,044 of CDBG-CV funds as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES), Public Law 116-136, to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19. Savannah City Council has made it a priority to address the economic impact on residents and small businesses due to job loss and rising property cost due to COVID-19; and to help address the housing needs of persons and families experiencing homelessness, including helping those impacted due to COVID-19. City will use the CDBG-CV funds to address these issues with the following projects:
