Description The City of Savannah’s sewer Lift Station #41 is located on the current site of Belk’s Department Store (Belk’s) at the Oglethorpe Mall. This Lift Station not only serves properties on the site of Oglethorpe Mall, but also adjacent properties. Belk’s is in the process of selling its property and has agreed to donate a utility easement for the existing sewer lines, force main, and Lift Station #41 to the City of Savannah before closing on the transaction. The purchaser is aware and has no objections.
The easement plat has been reviewed and approved by the Real Estate Services and Water and Sewer Planning and Engineering Departments, and the Office of Assistant City Attorney William Shearouse. Additionally, authorization is also requested for the City Manager to execute associated closing documents. | |
