Title Motion to Renew Annual Maintenance Agreement with SwiftReach (Event No. 5241)
Description Recommend approval to renew an annual maintenance agreement for the SwiftReach emergency notification system with SwiftReach in the amount of $43,500.00. This cost will be split equally between the City of Savannah and Chatham County. The City of Savannah will pay the entire invoice and will invoice the County for $21,750.00. SwiftReach provides notifications to citizens and staff during emergencies and other time-sensitive events. The service delivers messages via multiple contact methods including voice, text, email, fax, and social media. All notifications are delivered via SwiftReach’s Notification Delivery Network, which is owned and operated by the vendor for the sole purpose of delivering emergency messages. This is a sole source service because SwiftReach is the original manufacturer of this system and the only provider of its annual maintenance. It is critical to have maintenance and support from the original provider to ensure authorized, knowledgeable, and timely vendor support when and if it is necessary. This system is used by various City departments including SCMPD Dispatch, SFES Emergency Management, Neighborhood Services, the Public Information Office, and the IT Department. Chatham County’s CEMA and Mosquito Control Departments also use this service.
