Description

This is a notification of an emergency procurement to purchase two (2) engines for Marine 2 from Hale Marine Inc. (LOCAL) in the amount of $53,169. Marine 2 is the hazardous material response vessel for the Savannah Fire Department and County-wide hazardous situations and is currently out of order due to engine failure. The engines are non-repairable due to the age of the engines. Since Marine 2 is the only vessel that can be dispatched to respond to hazardous material service calls in the area, it is mission essential and critical for SFD and the county to have the vessel back in service as soon as possible. In case of an incident, there is no vessel currently available to respond. Delivery: Immediately. Terms: Net 30 days.
