Recommend approval to procure annual ammunition from Gulf States Distributors in the amount of $210,532.30. The Savannah Police Department requires ammunition to facilitate its firearms training for new hires, in-service training for current officers, and training for its specialized units, including SWAT. Gulf States Distributors is a Contracted vendor with the State of Georgia and this purchase will cover the Department’s ammunition needs for the remains of this budgetary year.

Per section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is State of Georgia Contract, 99999-SPD0000209-0003 for Guns, Ammunition, and Accessories. It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on 1/7/2027. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days.
