The Savannah Police Department is requesting approval of a Memorandum of Understanding with the ATF concerning the Savannah Ceasefire Task Force, a law enforcement partnership focused on firearms trafficking and firearms-related violent crime. As part of this agreement, Savannah Police will assign three police officers to the Task Force for a period of two years.

This agreement is intended to replace its predecessor, which provided for cooperation between the ATF and the former Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.
