Motion to approve Contract Amendment No. 2 for the Cultural Arts Center Design Services Agreement with Gunn Meyerhoff Shay in the amount of $56,571.00. 

The modification is needed to cover extended construction administration services rendered.  The original Gunn Meyerhoff Shay agreement was based on the building’s substantial completion date of June 2018.  Due to weather and other unavoidable construction delays the project completion date was extended.  The Certificate of Occupancy was obtained in March of 2019 however punch list and other closeout procedures have extended to May/June of 2019 due to the size and complexity of the project.  During this time, Gunn Meyerhoff Shay along with their subconsultants, have continued to provide construction administration and a high level of quality assurance/quality control supervision to ensure a satisfactory 100% project completion.

The agreement originally approved by City Council on June 13, 2013 was in the amount of $1,985,000.00.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $2,151,351.00.
