| Description Contract modification No. 1 with McKnight Construction Company is to establish the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the construction of the Community Center at Windsor Forest in the amount of $9,800,000. The Community Center at Windsor Forest project will redevelop the former Woody’s Skate Park site, located at 218 Windsor Road within the Windsor Forest neighborhood. The new facility is designed in a mid-century modern architectural style to complement the character of the surrounding community. The approximately 17,000-square-foot facility will include a full-sized gym and supporting amenities such as multi-purpose rooms, fitness areas, administrative offices, concessions, restrooms, locker rooms, and other flexible community spaces. Site improvements will include the construction of a new parking lot and a stormwater detention pond. The site is located at the intersection of Windsor Road and Briarcliff Circle. On January 22, 2026, City Council approved a contract with McKnight Construction Company in the amount of $7,500 for pre-construction services. This contract modification establishes the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction services and allows the project to proceed into the construction phase. | |
