Matching funds donation of $22,435.00 from the Bonaventure Historical Society to help replace the Bonaventure Cemetery main entrance sign, which was destroyed by an automobile in August of 2023. In addition, they wish to donate $2,000.00 towards the training fund for Cemeteries Conservation, which will allow the lead Conservation technician to attend a stone conservation conference. This will be a donation totaling $24,435.00. The sign is to be replaced by local Savannah businesses Oglethorpe Marble and Granite, which created the original sign also through a donation from the Bonaventure Historical Society over two decades ago.
