| Description This agreement formalizes the City’s support of the President Street Rail Crossing Elimination Project, undertaken by the County. The project proposes constructing a grade-separated flyover (overpass) to eliminate conflicts between rail and vehicle traffic, improving mobility for residents and visitors traveling between downtown Savannah, eastern Chatham County, and Tybee Island. Under the MOU, Chatham County will lead project development and administration, while the City will provide coordination, permitting, public outreach, and grant support. The agreement does not create any financial obligations or cost-sharing responsibilities for the City of Savannah. | |
