Description Recommend approval to award a sole source contract for Huber Belt and Parts to Huber Technology in the amount of $90,287. This contract will be used to replace Huber brand belt and dryer parts for bio-solids handling equipment located at the President Street wastewater treatment plant. The dryer belt transports bio-solids throughout the length of the handling process as the bio-solids are being dried. When the bio-solids dryer is not operable due to repairs, the wet bio-solids must be hauled to the landfill. Hauling wet bio-solids is much more expensive than hauling dry bio-solids. The Huber dryer belt lifespan is 5 to 7 years based on normal operating parameters. The Huber dryer belt and parts are manufactured in Germany. This is a sole source because Huber Technology is the manufacturer for the specialized parts. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days. S.S. Huber Technology (Huntersville, NC) (D)$90,287 (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE owned business. Recommend Approval | |
