Recommend approval to award an annual contract for tree removal services from McKinnon, Inc., Kolcun Tree Care, LLC, ArborNature, LLC, and Downey Trees Inc. in the amount not to exceed $600,000.00. The City of Savannah’s Greenscapes Division will use these services for the removal of potentially hazardous trees and stumps from public properties and rights of way.

Contractors are needed in order to handle public requests and the increasing age of the City’s urban forest. Vendors were pre-qualified based upon company qualifications, experiences, and references. The four vendors will provide bids for predetermined lists of work to be accomplished on an as-needed basis and will be awarded that specific list of work based on the lowest bid submitted.  

The contract term will be from July 5, 2018 through December 31, 2019.
