Description The City received an annexation petition for one parcel with an aggregate of 30.425 acres located off Chatham Parkway near Ogeechee Road. The land under petition is contiguous to existing City territory and, therefore, can be annexed by ordinance adopted by City Council. As required by State law, the County has been informed of receipt of this petition.
The property is currently vacant land and the owner plans to develop a multi-family residential project on the parcel. The property will be accessed from a City of Savannah public right-of-way and City of Savannah water and sewer service is available to serve the property. The owner desires to gain access to these utilities on in-city terms. The cost of providing water and sewer service will be fully covered by connection fees and service fees charged to benefiting parcels in the area.
